NYCFC made a major statement in the Eastern Conference with a win over Supporters Shield chasing FC Cincinnati.
The hosts needed just a lone goal from Julián Fernández in the opening 10 minutes to see out the result, and what a goal it was.
While they needed some big Matt Freese saves in the dying embers of the affair, Pascal Jansen’s side did hold on and collect a massive victory to climb back into the playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
