2026 4-star TE out of Fairburn (GA) has decommitted from Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is highly talented. It will continue to add commitments in the coming months, but what has become a regularity during the early parts of the offseason is that decommitments occur at a rapid rate for every program.

Back in November, coach Mike Elko gained commitments from four-star DL Jordan Carter, four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, and four-star tight end Xavier Tiller, all hailing from Georgia. While Carter and Gregory remain firmly committed, Till announced on Tuesday that he has reopened his recruitment and will seek other options.

Going back to his commitment on Nov. 4 of last year, Tiller’s size, speed, and expansive catch radius looked like a sure-fit in OC Collin Klein’s offensive system. Still, the fact that the Aggies beat out Alabama and especially the Georgia Bulldogs was somewhat surprising, but let’s remember that this was just days after Texas A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU, resulting in clear recruiting momentum.

Mike Elko and his staff will continue to pursue Tiller this spring and summer, knowing that the task will be much more difficult when competing with opposing SEC programs. If Tiller commits elsewhere, I expect Elko to attempt to pursue another tight-end prospect in the cycle.
