The 2026 college football season is right around the corner, and that means Auburn fans are closer to watching their favorite team play again. Let’s continue our player profiles of the 2026 Auburn Tigers.
The Tigers have a solid group of safeties returning for this season, including Anquon Fegans. He may start the season on the second team, but he should be called upon to make big plays for Auburn. He played in all 12 games last year for Auburn despite not getting to start any games. Fegans had a total of 24 tackles in 2025 and had one interception. His best game of the season was against Vanderbilt, where he had five tackles in an overtime loss.

When Fegans signed with the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class, he did so as one of the best players in the state of Alabama. While playing for the Thompson Warriors, he won multiple awards and championships under head coach Mark Thompson. Auburn is hoping he can be one of the impact players to bring that kind of success with new head coach Alex Golesh.
He is part of the safety room with Eric Winters, Kaleb Harris, and Sylvester Smith-Reed.
