Sophomore defensive lineman Chaz Coleman enters his first season at Tennessee in 2026.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive lineman transferred to the Vols on Jan. 10 from Penn State. Coleman appeared in five games for the Nittany Lions in 2025 as a freshman. He recorded eight tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one pass deflection against FIU, Villanova, at UCLA, at Ohio State and at Rutgers.

Coleman totaled four tackles against FIU, one versus Villanova, two at UCLA and one at Rutgers. His only sack, forced fumble and pass deflection was versus FIU.
Coleman is from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio.
Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season Sept. 5 versus Furman at Neyland Stadium. The season opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).
The Vols will also host Kennesaw State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and LSU, while playing at Georgia Tech, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt during the 2026 campaign.
