2027 Charlotte athlete schedules Tennessee football visit

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Three-star athlete Caleb Cooper announced he will visit Tennessee on Tuesday. He will also visit Florida, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech and Ohio State.

The 6-foot, 207-pound prospect is from Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Providence Day School is home to Vols’ offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. and former Tennessee basketball forward Grant Williams.

247Sports ranks Cooper as the No. 62 athlete in the class and the No. 28 player in North Carolina.

Tennessee offered him a scholarship on Feb. 6. His visit on Tuesday will be his first to Tennessee.

Purdue was the first school to offer Cooper a scholarship on Jan. 26, 2025. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Syracuse, Southern Miss, Maryland, SMU, Boston College, Indiana, Iowa State, Wake Forest, East Carolina, Charlotte, Louisville, UNLV and Nebraska.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
