Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star defensive end Aidan O’Neil named Tennessee in his top seven schools, along with Notre Dame, Penn State, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Texas A&M, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pound prospect is from Montgomery, New York and plays for Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 9 defensive end in the class and No. 3 player in New Jersey.
Tennessee offered O’Neil a scholarship on Jan. 22, 2025 and has not visited the Vols.
Virginia Tech was the first school to offer the 2027 prospect a scholarship on Aug. 25, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Syracuse, Rutgers, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Carolina State, UConn, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Duke, Northwestern, West Virginia, Nebraska, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Texas, Florida State, Oregon, Michigan and Georgia.
Tennessee has five commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, and athlete Jaden Butler.
