Recruiting has picked up a little steam for Notre Dame Football and they are on a little bit of a roll at running back. On Monday, 4-Star RB Isaiah Rogers gave his public commitment to Notre Dame and its 2027 football recruiting class.
The 6’0” 205 pound running back from Springfield Central High School in Springfield, Massachusetts, chose the Irish over a strong list of finalists that included the Georgia Bulldogs, Indiana Hoosiers, and Penn State Nittany Lions. Rogers also held offers from the Michigan Wolverines, Florida Gators, and more from across the country.

-Driving runner that can motor inside or outside with his vision, burst and contact balance.
-Moves with impressive tempo in tight quarters and will try to thrash his way through traffic as he looks to finish runs.
-Keeps the legs pumping once defenders have him corralled, which can spring unexpected chunk plays.
-Targeted frequently out of the backfield as a junior and has impressed as a pass catcher on the camp circuit with his hands and route running.
-Projects as a potential trusted option at the Power Four level that could work his way into the rotation early with his three-down capabilities.
Rogers is the 9th commitment for Notre Dame’s class which now ranks #4 in the nation according to the 247 Team Composite Recruiting Rankings. This is the second running back commitment in a row for the Irish, and barring some type of big change, that should be it for the running back room.

Notre Dame has a oaded running back room this year with; Aneyas Williams, Kedron Young, Nolan James, Javian Osborne, and Jonaz Walton — and they all have eligibility to return in 2027. The liklihood of the entire group being back in 27 is small, but adding talent like Whisenton and Rogers to the roster makes sure the Irish offense will still be able to have a strong running game.
