Five-star Georgia Bulldogs defensive back commitment Donte Wright is weighing his recruiting options. Wright has been committed to Georgia for almost a year and is one of Georgia’s two five-star commitments in the class of 2027 along with running back Kemon Spell.
247Sports ranks Wright as the No. 10 player in the country. The five-star is the nation’s second-best cornerback recruit and the top prospect in California.

Wright plays high school football for Long Beach Poly in Long Beach, California. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback is currently projected to flip to the Oregon Ducks. Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia are trying to hold off other college football teams, but Georgia will have its hands full.
Wright has scheduled five different official visits and is also expected to visit Auburn, but does not have a date for that visit yet. The five-star plans to visit UCLA from May 15-17, Georgia from May 29-31, Miami from June 5-7, Michigan from June 12-14 and Oregon from June 19-21.
Four-star Georgia cornerback commitment Jerry Outhouse recently sent a recruiting message to Wright trying to get him to stay committed to Georgia. Outhouse emphasized that “we gotta keep my Dawg home” at Georgia.
