Griffin reportedly backed out on his USC pledge because he wanted to take some official visits. Lincoln Riley has a policy that committed prospects are not allowed to take official visits to other schools.
A lean, physical linebacker, Griffin might project as an EDGE at the next level. In two seasons at Gainesville High School, Griffin has 97 total tackles and 21 sacks over his sophomore and junior years. He has had some unofficial visits this spring to Florida State, Tennessee and Texas.
