The Philadelphia 76ers visit the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Thursday, April 9 at 8:00 PM ET, with both teams adjusting lineups due to injuries.

Philadelphia will be without Johni Broome (right knee, surgery recovery) and Cameron Payne (right hamstring strain), while Tyrese Maxey is listed as available despite a right finger tendon strain.

For Houston, Steven Adams (left ankle, surgery) and Fred VanVleet (right knee, ACL repair) are out.

The 76ers enter Thursday’s matchup on a two-game losing streak, dropping 102-115 at San Antonio and 93-116 to Detroit. Maxey leads the team with 28.4 points per game, followed by Embiid at 26.9 and George at 17.7. Kelly Oubre Jr. and VJ Edgecombe provide additional scoring depth, averaging 14.1 and 16.0 points respectively.

Houston counters with Kevin Durant averaging 25.8 points, Alperen Sengun at 20.5, and Amen Thompson contributing 18.0 per contest. Jabari Smith Jr. adds 15.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

The Rockets have won their last two games, defeating Phoenix 119-105 and edging Golden State 117-116.

This season, the 76ers hold a 1-0 record over Houston, winning 128-122 in overtime on January 22.

Both teams still have playoff stakes attached to the result. Philadelphia is eighth in the East at 43-36, just a half-game behind seventh-place Orlando and one game ahead of ninth-place Charlotte, while Houston sits fifth in the West at 50-29, tied with the Lakers and 3.5 games clear of sixth-place Minnesota.
