As if the Dallas Wings weren’t already aware, the past couple of days have proven that No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers is a rising star in the WNBA.

As revealed on Monday, Bueckers became just the sixth No. 1 overall pick to get the starting nod in the WNBA All-Star game, joining notable names such as Sue Bird, Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark.
According to ESPN, the former UConn star received the sixth-most votes from fans and was second in voting for guards behind Clark. She was also the only rookie of the loaded 2025 class to be named a starter as well.
While fans across the league were thrilled for Bueckers, it’s unlikely that any were as happy for her as her former UConn teammate and current girlfriend, Azzi Fudd.
The projected top pick in next year’s WNBA draft shared the announcement that revealed Bueckers as the lone rookie starting in the WNBA All-Star game.

While many fans speculated that the two were dating when Bueckers was at UConn, there wasn’t any confirmation until recently.

The 22-year-old Fudd posted a picture on her Instagram Story this past month that showed her hair done. While she didn’t bring attention to it, internet sleuths quickly realized that her phone case said, “Paige Bueckers’ girlfriend.”
Fudd has also been spotted supporting Bueckers on multiple occasions this season, as she was sitting court-side for the Wings’ game against the Washington Mystics last month, showed out for Bueckers’ return to her home state of Minnesota for a game against the Lynx in May and was also sitting alongside her at the 2025 WNBA draft.

On the year, the 23-year-old Bueckers is averaging 18.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

She and the Wings will return to action on Thursday as they’ll host the Phoenix Mercury.
