These Media Predictions Will Make Florida Gators Fans Furious originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
As the 2025 SEC Media Days came to a close, the fourth estate took one more opportunity to fade the Gators — and snub superstar QB DJ Lagway.

Fans of the three-time national champion Florida Gatorsfootball program would do well to heed the words of Butch Coolidge — Bruce Willis’s scheming pugilist from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction — after reading the final headlines to emerge from SEC Media Days this week in Atlanta.
As is tradition, media members in attendance conclude the interview car wash by casting votes in a variety of categories, prognosticating everything from the upcoming season’s conference champion to its All-SEC teams.
Suffice it to say that Gator Nation is not gonna be happy about a few of the details.

You won’t believe one of the programs that was picked to finish ahead of Florida.
You’ll bang your head against the wall when you see which three quarterbacks got more love than DJ Lagway, WHO IS PERFECT AND HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG.
And don’t get me started about how the First Team All-SEC defense turned out.
No more filibustering, pop a lorazepam and try to get through what you’re about to see without blowing every last one of your gaskets.
