Michigan State basketball is one of nine schools still in the running for a near five-star prospect in the 2026 class.
Four-star power forward prospect Latrell Allmond of Richmond, Va. revealed his top nine schools list on Friday afternoon, which included the Spartans. Michigan State was joined by the Tennessee, Maryland, Indiana, Virginia, Arizona, Kansas, Miami (FL) and Oklahoma State.

Allmond is ranked as the No. 30 overall prospect, with recruiting rating of 98.81 in 247Sports’ composite system. He is also listed as the No. 6 power forward and No. 2 player from Virginia in the class.
Per 247Sports, Allmond holds offers from more than 20 schools, but Michigan State has not yet extended him an offer. Notable schools to offer Allmond includes Indiana, Florida State, Georgetown, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami (FL), Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, NC State, Ole Miss, Providence, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia, Washington, College of Charleston and VCU.
