2026 in-state four-star commits to Tennessee football over SEC schools

Tennessee added a commitment to its 2026 football recruiting class.

Four-star athlete Joel Wyatt committed to the Vols over Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Georgia and LSU on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound prospect is an in-state target. He transferred from The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee to Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

247Sports ranks Wyatt as the No. 5 athlete in the class and the No. 2 player in Tennessee. He plays wide receiver and safety in high school.

Tennessee offered Wyatt a scholarship on May 15, 2024. He unofficially visited Tennessee five times in the last year, three of which were to football games in 2024. Wyatt officially visited Tennessee on June 6.

Tennessee has 22 commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class. The Vols’ other 21 commits include quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman CJ Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety KJ McClain, safety Luke Thompson, defensive end Kedric Golston II, offensive lineman Edward Baker, wide receiver Zaydyn Anderson, quarterback Legend Bey, defensive lineman Dereon Albert, linebacker TJ White, cornerback Jamyan Theodore, defensive lineman Darryl Rivers, wide receiver Javonte Smith, linebacker Brayden Rouse, safety Jowell Combay and offensive lineman JB Shabazz.
