California and Seton Hall highlight Kansas State basketball’s nonconference home slate

California and Seton Hall highlight Kansas State basketball’s nonconference home slate

Kansas State basketball will have nine official home dates, including two against power conference opponents, as part of a 13-game nonconference schedule announced by the program on Monday.

All 13 games will take place before the new year, with the 18 Big 12 matchups starting in January.

California will visit Bramlage Coliseum on Nov. 13 in a return game from the 2023-24 season opener in Berkeley, while Seton Hall comes to Manhattan Dec. 6 for the first leg of a home-and-home series.

The Wildcats open coach Jerome Tang’s fourth season with five straight home games, starting with an exhibition against Newman on Oct. 31 and followed by North Carolina-Greensboro (Nov. 4), Bellarmine (Nov. 8), Cal and Tulsa (Nov. 17). They also will participate in the Hall of Fame Classic Nov. 20-21 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, where they will face Mississippi State in the first round, and then either Nebraska or New Mexico in the finale.

K-State has two marquee road games as well, traveling to Bloomington to take on Indiana on Nov. 25 and Omaha to play Creighton on Dec. 13.

The Wildcats’ home schedule includes first-ever matchups with UNC Greensboro, Bowling Green (Dec. 1), and Louisiana-Monroe (Dec. 28). The remaining home opponents are Mississippi Valley State (Dec. 8) and South Dakota (Dec. 20).

The trip to Indiana will be K-State’s first since 1985, while the last visit to Creighton came in 1987.

Big 12 matchups for 2025-26

K-State’s Big 12 Conference schedule has yet to be finalized, though the Wildcats will face all 15 other teams, either at home, away, or both.

Home opponents: Baylor, BYU, Central Florida, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU, Utah, West Virginia.

Away opponents: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Houston, Kansas, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, West Virginia.
