Updated 2025 NASCAR Championship odds after Richmond

The odds for who will stand above the field as the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series champion have been updated following this past weekend’s race at Richmond. Austin Dillon shocked the world and drove his way to victory in Virginia, locking himself into the playoffs in the process.

Now, the Cup Series will return to their premier destination, Daytona International Speedway. Last season, Harrison Burton had a similar monumental victory to Dillon’s Richmond win. There’s a myriad of drivers who will be looking to accomplish that in 2025.

With that in mind, BetMGM Sportsbook has released its updated betting lines for which driver will stand above all at the end of the year as champion after all of the action in Virginia. Here’s where each wheelman stands entering Daytona this coming weekend.

Kyle Larson (+400)

Kyle Larson found some speed over the weekend, even if the No. 5 Chevrolet team didn’t contend for the win at Richmond. He came home P6 under the lights in Virginia.

Perhaps this is the season he figures it out and gets to Victory Lane at Daytona. He’s no stranger to the idea at a myriad of other tracks, and adding a victory at the track to his resume would continue to strengthen his case for being the best driver the series has to offer.

Denny Hamlin (+400)

Denny Hamlin is in a comfortable spot, with four wins in the bank at the moment. He enjoyed his time at Richmond this past weekend, notching another top ten finish at one of his favorite tracks.

Ahead of this weekend, Hamlin’s track record at Daytona is well documented. He’s a force to be reckoned with at NASCAR’s premier venue, and win No. 5 could be on the menu for the Virginia native.

Christopher Bell (+450)

Christopher Bell started in the top ten, but he couldn’t keep his No. 20 up there throughout the weekend that was in Richmond. He ended up finishing P21 when the checkered flag waved in Virginia.

Over the past couple of seasons, Bell has become a heck of a superspeedway competitor. He knows what it takes to compete at Daytona. We’ll see if victory No. 4 on the season is on the docket for the Joe Gibbs Racing star.

William Byron (+600)

William Byron notched a 12th place finish at Richmond this past weekend. He continues to rack up the solid results, remaining arguably the most consistent driver in all of the Cup Series.

Returning to Daytona will bring up some tremendous memories for Byron. He’s won the last two Daytona 500s, and he’s also been victorious in the summer iteration of the race, as well.

Ryan Blaney (+650)

Ryan Blaney looked primed to win his second race of the season at Richmond over the weekend. He couldn’t get by Austin Dillon, but the Team Penske wheelman mustered a third-place finish at least.

Moving forward, Blaney has some experience with winning the summer race at Daytona. He got to Victory Lane back in 2021. There’s a reason he’s always a threat at one of NASCAR’s premier tracks.

Chase Elliott (+800)

Chase Elliott had one of his worse runs of the entire season at Richmond. He came home dead last, finishing P38 in Virginia. A disappointing run.

In the past, Elliott has won at Daytona, but only in the qualifying duels prior to the 500. Perhaps he’ll get over the hump this time around and give the people of Florida something to cheer.

Chase Briscoe (+1200)

Chase Briscoe is finding his groove at Joe Gibbs Racing, and his performance at Richmond underscored that. He didn’t have a winning car, but the No. 19 Toyota team still came home P13 on the evening.

In his Cup Series career, Daytona has been a mixed bag for Briscoe. He had some speed this February during the 500, but the Indiana native couldn’t get the job done. Perhaps the summer trip to the track will be better for him.

Joey Logano (+1600)

Joey Logano had a lot to say about Austin Dillon wrecking him for the win last season at Richmond, but the No. 3 Chevrolet wheelman changed the narrative this time around. As for the reigning champion in the Cup Series, Logano finished fourth, a more than solid performance in Virginia.

He’s always dangerous on super-speedway tracks, and he’ll be expected to be a contender this coming weekend. Logano’s odds being on the shorter side for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 is far from a surprise, as he looks to start his crusade toward a fourth championship.
