It would have been no surprise preseason for the Indiana Fever to make the WNBA Playoffs, but the path to this point, perhaps, was as unexpected as any.
Fever superstar Caitlin Clark only played 13 games, and she was one of five players who suffered season-ending injuries. That included key offseason acquisition Sophie Cunningham. Still, Indiana finished 24-20, but resets with a three-game series.

The sixth-seeded Fever play at the third-seeded Atlanta Dream at 3 p.m. Sunday on ABC.
As has become a tradition with the postseason or are other big regular-season games, Air Corgi — also known as Steph Furry — made its series picks. The corgi stands on a platform up a set of stairs with two basketball hoop-like buckets with logos of teams and hits a tossed ball into the baskets until a series winner is decided.
Air Corgi also previewed the NBA Finals and had the Pacers beating the Thunder in six games. Of course, we’d like to forget that happened and hope everyone stays healthy in the Fever-Dream series.
The corgi started out with its first pick going to the Dream, but then had the Fever winning Games 2 and 3. But that’s not as cool as watching the video:
