Le Roux Roets: South African lock leaves Sale Sharks for family reasons

by

South African forward Le Roux Roets is leaving Sale Sharks with immediate effect after both parties agreed to terminate his contract for family reasons.

Roets, 30, joined Sale at the start of last season from the Hollywoodbets Sharks in his homeland.

However injuries have restricted the lock to just four appearances, including two as a replacement in the Premiership.

Roets also played for the Lions, Bulls and Pumas in South Africa and he leaves before Sale begin their new Prem Rugby season at home to Gloucester on 25 September.
