Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt predicted the winner of the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs versus No. 5 Ole Miss Rebel game on his podcast, “The Joel Klatt Show.”
Klatt points out that Georgia is 50-2 in their last 52 home games and does not think that Ole Miss has the most impressive résumé. The Rebels have had one-score games against Arkansas, Washington State, LSU and Kentucky. Ole Miss has only had to play one road game this season and that came against Kentucky, who is the worst team in the SEC.

The Rebels have been very productive offensively, but Klatt does not envision them pulling off the upset against Georgia. He’s not totally sold on the Bulldogs either and thinks Ole Miss will keep it close.
In particular Klatt notes that “Georgia has not been great getting pressure on the quarterback” which should allow Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss to settle into the game. He shared that Georgia “is last in the SEC in QB pressure rate right now, which is a little bit alarming” and statistically the Bulldogs have backed that up. Georgia only has eight sacks this season, which is second worst in the SEC.

“There’s something about the resilience of this Georgia team that, listen, I’m going to say Georgia wins the game 27-24,” Klatt said. Klatt has Ole Miss covering the seven-point spread for the game.

Klatt’s prediction is very similar to our prediction, David Pollack’s prediction and Aaron Murray’s prediction. Every prediction has Georgia winning, but not covering.
Klatt’s prediction: Georgia 27, Ole Miss 24
