Former Vol transfers to LSU, Lane Kiffin

The NCAA transfer portal will close Jan. 16 after opening on Jan. 2. Former Tennessee defensive lineman Jordan Ross committed to LSU and first-year head coach Lane Kiffin after entering the transfer portal.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive lineman appeared in 22 games at Tennessee from 2024-25. He totaled 26 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one pass deflection, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one block and one touchdown.

The former Vol was named to the 2024 Freshman All-SEC Team and 2024-25 SEC First-Year Honor Roll.

Ross went to Tennessee from Vestavia Hills High School in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. He committed to Tennessee over AlabamaFlorida and Texas.

Kiffin served as Tennessee’s head coach in 2009, compiling a 7-6 (4-4 SEC) record. He was also head coach at Ole Miss in the SEC from 2020-25, guiding the Rebels to a 55–19 (32–17 SEC) record.
