Where is Louisville basketball in the latest top-25 polls after another 1-1 week in the ACC?

Pat Kelsey‘s Cardinals (12-4, 2-2 ACC) fell from 18th to 19th in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released Monday, following their second-half collapse against then-No. 6 Duke and their comeback win over Boston College.

Up next for UofL: another top-25 showdown at the KFC Yum! Center — this one at 7 p.m. Tuesday vs. No. 16 Virginia. Kelsey did not have a concrete update on the status of his team’s top scorers, Ryan Conwell (knee) and Mikel Brown Jr. (back), who missed the win over the Eagles due to injuries, for the game during an appearance Monday morning on a Zoom call with ACC coaches.

The Cavaliers, whose roster was built from scratch this past offseason, are 14-2 (3-1) to begin the Ryan Odom era.

“Really impressed, to say the least,” Kelsey said Monday of UVA. “It doesn’t surprise me one bit. Ryan is a super, super smart guy, a terrific leader and coach. … They’ve made a heck of an investment in men’s basketball — and they’ve got the right guy in charge, who’s doing a phenomenal job with that team. They’re dangerous top to bottom, across the board.”

Louisville and Virginia began the week ranked 18th and 16th, respectively, in the NET — two of the ACC’s 14 teams falling into the top 75.
