Purdue and Indiana are well into the Big Ten basketball season, so NCAA Tournament projections have begun.
The Boilermakers (15-1, 5-0) are considered a national contender, while the Hoosiers‘ (13-5, 3-3) Big Dance prospects are murkier.

After a Jan. 13 loss to nationally ranked Michigan State, the Hoosiers are 0-4 in Quad 1 (teams ranked roughly in the top 80 in the NET rankings) action. They need some wins against their toughest opponents.
These teams will play a role in how the other is seeded: They meet in Bloomington on Jan. 27, then in West Lafayette on Feb. 20.
