Two unlikely programs have battled through the season and 12-team CFP bracket to punch their ticket to the natty, and they’ll now have a chance to hoist the trophy.

Once known as the school with the most all-time losses in college football history, Indiana was reborn under coach Curt Cignetti. After getting ousted by Notre Dame in the first round of last year’s CFP, the Hoosiers have been out for blood. Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza has led his team to a perfect record and national No. 1 seed, sailing through the bracket with ease.

Miami has had a less conventional route to the title game, but still a respectable one. The Hurricanes dropped conference games to Louisville and SMU mid-season, but never fell out of the national top 25. In his first year as a transfer, quarterback Carson Beck brought his squad into the CFP as the No. 10 seed, and pulled off upset after upset.

It all comes down to this. Who will be named the next national champions?
