Max Holloway: BMF way of beating Charles Oliveira is submitting him

by

Max Holloway is hoping to score another memorable finish when he defends his BMF title.

Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23-8 UFC) takes on Charles Oliveira (36-11 MMA, 24-11 UFC) at UFC 326 on March 7 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Paramount+).

Holloway scored an iconic last-second knockout of Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 to claim the BMF title. He then defended it by outstriking Dustin Poirier, and now he aims to stop Oliveira at his own game.

“I go out there, I do what I do, my coaches are probably going to kill me when they see this and hear me saying: A BMF thing to do in this fight would be to submit a submission artist,” Holloway said on his YouTube channel.

“A guy who’s known for submissions, that’d be pretty BMF. At the end of the day, never say never. If your boy throws up some submissions here and there and I get one, who’s to say what happens? That’s a pretty BMF moment to go submit a submission artist.”

Holloway and Oliveira will run things back 11 years later after Holloway defeated Oliveira by injury TKO in August 2015.
