A former Michigan State football defensive back is going to be finding himself on a power conference field once again in 2026. After spending two seasons with Jacksonville State, Jones is transferring to Iowa State.
Jones, a member of Michigan State’s 2022 recruiting class, spent two years in East Lansing before moving on. He appeared in 11 games for the Spartans, securing six tackles. For Jacksonville State, Jones was a mainstay on the Gamecock defense, playing in 26 games, recording 68 tackles (5 for loss), 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
