In college basketball, players are returning to school from the professional ranks.

Guys who have played in the G League, and even one guy who was drafted into the NBA, are getting eligibility to play NCAA hoops.
Could it come to college football?
There’s one former Georgia QB who is keeping an eye on the proceedings: Jake Fromm.
Fromm posted this on X on Wednesday:

Fromm was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs who threw 78 TDs compared to just 18 interceptions in his college career.
He was a fifth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft.
He played in three NFL games, all in 2021 with the New York Giants. Two were starts, and he lost both, throwing 27-for-60 for 210 yards with one touchdown and three picks.

There isn’t really an NFL equivalent to the G League, which the NCAA has deemed is different than a guy trying to return to school from the NBA.
Would Fromm be disqualified from this chance due to his NFL regular season action?
No one has really made the move in football yet, so it’s hard to say.
It’s also hard to say with certainty that Fromm actually, truly wants this.
But there are going to be college football players who try to do the same thing these hoopers are doing.
If a big name like Fromm goes for it, it could alter the entire NCAA as we know it, even more than it has been.
