Coach Trevor Wittman was happy to see justice served at UFC 324.
Ahead of the event earlier this month, Paddy Pimblett (23-4 MMA, 7-1 UFC) said Justin Gaethje (27-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) won’t physically look the same after they battle for the interim lightweight title.

However, Gaethje ended up battering Pimblett for five rounds this past Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which made his longtime head coach Wittman very happy.
“I’ve got the utmost respect for Paddy,” Wittman said on Justin Gaethje’s YouTube channel. “Like I said prior to going into this, I knew he was a fighter, I knew he was growing. The most important thing he has is spirit. He got dropped probably like six times in the fight, and he kept getting up and fighting with spirit.
“I’m always so respectful to other people, but this is why you don’t f*cking talk sh*t. That sh*t bothered me very bad. You can be respectful when doing sh*t, there were a lot of f*cking things he said. It is what it is. I don’t let that get to me, but you said you were going to mangle up Justin’s face, this is what happens.”
Gaethje is expected to unify his interim belt with lightweight champion Ilia Topuria once he returns from his personal time off. Topuria said he’s aiming for anytime between April and June, with Gaethje hoping the matchup will happen at UFC White House this summer.
