BATON ROUGE — Since losing to Vanderbilt earlier in Southeastern Conference play, LSU women’s basketball has won three straight games against ranked competition.
Kim Mulkey‘s team will look to make it four consecutive as it hosts No. 22 Alabama (19-3, 5-3 SEC) inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center Sunday morning. Only one of three ranked wins have come at home and that was over No. 4 Texas.

No. 5 LSU (20-2, 6-2) has also beaten No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 25 Georgia on the road.

Alabama has one of the best defenses in the SEC, holding opponents to just 55.2 points per game. Offensively, it’s one of the more challenged offenses, posting just 72.2 points which ranks 14th out of 16 teams in the league.
