The Clemson Tigers picked up one of their most impressive wins of the season Wednesday night at Stanford.
Nick Davidson had 16 points, including a pair of go-ahead free throws with 23 seconds left, and seven rebounds as the Tigers (19-4 overall, 9-1 ACC) defeated the Cardinal, 66-64. It was Clemson‘s 12th win in its last 13 games. It was also the Tigers’ 13th consecutive ACC road win dating back to last season.

Ace Bucker had 11 points and made two foul shouts with three seconds to play to stretch the Tigers’ lead to four. Clemson erased a six-point second-half deficit after trailing 32-30 at halftime. The Tigers’ defense also held Stanford to 40 percent from the field.
For Clemson, Wednesday’s game counted as a Quad 2 victory against a Stanford team that had already beaten two ranked teams in North Carolina and Virginia at Maples Pavilion.
Clemson will stay on the West Coast to face the California Golden Bears Saturday before returning to the heart of ACC country beginning with Wednesday’s game against Virginia Tech.

Clemson is No. 31 in the updated NET rankings Friday. The Tigers are one spot behind the Auburn Tigers in the NET rankings and one spot ahead of the Villanova Wildcats.

Clemson is No. 32 in the KenPom ratings after Wednesday’s win. The Tigers have an overall rating of +20.70, which includes a 116.9 rating on defense that’s 15th nationally. The Tigers’ 116.9 rating on offense is 69th nationally.

Clemson is one spot ahead of Texas and one spot below Kentucky in the overall KenPom team ratings.

Clemson will face the California (8-12, 1-6) Saturday at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley. Tipoff for Clemson-California is 8 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ACC Network.
