Farid Basharat vs. Jean Matsumoto UFC Fight Night 266 preview
Basharat (14-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) will look to keep his professional record unblemished. The undefeated bantamweight has picked up four wins by decision and one submission finish thus far on his UFC run. His last outing was a unanimous nod over Chris Gutierrez at UFC 320 in October.

Matsumoto (17-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) bounced back from the first loss of his career with a split decision win over Miles Johns in August. Prior to that, another split result went the other direction, with two judges siding with Rob Font’s work last February.
Farid Basharat vs. Jean Matsumoto UFC Fight Night 266 expert pick, prediction
Filling out the main card is a potential bantamweight banger between Jean Matsumoto and Farid Basharat.
Matsumoto is a young, exciting action fighter from Brazil who can finish a fight on the floor or on the feet. The potential problem here, however, is that Basharat is an incredibly intelligent and well-rounded fighter who is difficult to get a beat on.

Formerly with Xtreme Couture and now over at American Top Team in South Florida, Basharat is a fighter who you can tell drills his butt off, given both his hardwired instincts and technical acumen.
Matsumoto may have the ability to make fights close with his aggression and impact, but I believe that Basharat will be but one takedown adjustment away from changing the fight’s dynamic.
I’ll officially pick Basharat to take a competitive but clear win by unanimous decision.
Farid Basharat vs. Jean Matsumoto UFC Fight Night 266 odds
