Once again, Keelan Harvick becomes the youngest winner of a major late model race. This time, he got the job done in the Icebreaker at Florence Motor Speedway. An early-season favorite for many, the Icebreaker attracts great talent each year.
In this race, Keelan Harvick had to hold off much more experienced racers to get the job done in his Late Model Stock Car. He took down Matt Cox (P2), the defending Ice Breaker winner, as well as Lee Pulliam (P3). Richard Childress Racing development driver, Carson Brown, was also in the field. He sat on the pole.

A late restart was exactly what Harvick needed to get the job done. This is a big win, and Harvick did it against great competition. Any time you can say you beat Lee Pulliam, at 13 years old, you’re talking about a seriously talented prospect.

It has been a quick rise to Victory Lane for Keelan Harvick. He is now the youngest winner of the Snowflake 125 at Five Flags Speedway. Now, he’s the youngest winner of the Icebreaker at Florence Motor Speedway. Those are two tracks with a ton of grassroots racing history. Many NASCAR stars of the past and today have raced and won at these tracks on their way to the Cup Series.

It won’t be long before we see Keelan Harvick racing in ARCA. Then it won’t be long before he makes that first Truck start, O’Reilly Series, and maybe, if all goes well, Cup. There are a lot of reasons to believe in Keelan and it goes beyond who his dad is and how much funding he may have.
There is always a side conversation in racing, particularly grassroots racing, around money. Who has the best equipment, team, crew chief, etc.? When it comes down to it, you can have the fastest, baddest ride on the track, but you have to know how to race to use it.
Keelan Harvick has shown time and again that he races like a driver beyond his years. He’s respectful, takes his time, but that doesn’t make him a pushover, either. When you watch the young Harvick race, you can see a bright future ahead of him. Official results are not available for the race at this time. Harvick got into the wall at one point and ripped the electronic timing down.
