UNC basketball fans will always be grateful for superstar freshman Caleb Wilson, who is one of the greatest players in all of college basketball.
Wilson bring the Tar Heels that tall, electric, passionate forward they lacked a season ago. Currently averaging 20.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, Wilson can beat you in a variety of ways, whether with the basketball in his hands or on defense.

Earlier Monday, Wilson added another award to his already star-studded collegiate career, earning ACC Co-Player of the Week honors.
Wilson shares this honor with Stanford superstar Ebuka Okorie, who single-handedly took down the Tar Heels in January’s matchup.
Wilson continued his historic tear last week, combining for 45 points, 16 free throws and 13 rebounds between UNC’s wins against Syracuse and Duke. Wilson single-handedly kept North Carolina in the first half of Saturday’s thrilling comeback, then led his team’s celebration on Franklin Street.
Wilson has five straight games with 20 points, including 23 on Saturday. The freshman phenom’s improved free throw shooting is noticeable, too, with a 100 percent mark in both wins against Duke and at Georgia Tech.

It’s difficult for players to live up to their word, but Wilson is quickly proving his point. Before the UNC-TCU football game, Wilson said he doesn’t like Duke, Wake Forest or NC State – and has wins against those first two opponents.
Wilson brings a confident swagger to the court, one which improves his teammates’ play. As the Tar Heels progress throughout their season, how much better can Wilson get?
