by

Despite a massive 77-64 win over rival LSU this weekend, the Texas Longhorns women’s basketball team remains No. 4 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. But despite being stuck at fourth, the Lady Longhorns are still set up for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

25-0 UConn remains No. 1. The Huskies have occupied the top spot all season. UCLA remains No. 2 and South Carolina stays at No. 3.

Vanderbilt jumps three spots to No. 5 after big wins over ranked Kentucky and Oklahoma. LSU only drops one spot after the loss to Texas. Michigan, Ohio State, Louisville and the Sooners round out the Top 10. There are nine SEC teams in the Top 25.

Red-hot Vandy is the next challenge for the Lady Longhorns. Texas travels to Nashville Thursday night. Then the Horns face No. 17 Tennessee over the weekend. There are only five more games in UT’s regular season.
