Comoros: the women’s national team has a new coach
The Comoros women’s national team has a new coach. Youssef Abdallah has been appointed by the Comoros Football Federation to lead the Silacanths’ women’s squad.

This marks a new era and a breath of change for women’s football in Comoros. After a period of inactivity since April 2025, the women’s national team is set to return to action following the appointment of Youssef Abdallah as head coach. Comoros will not be participating in the 2026 COSAFA Women’s Cup, scheduled to take place from February 18 to March 1 in Polokwane, South Africa.
The Comoros women’s senior team was established in 2005 and is still striving to make its mark on the regional and continental stage.
