Considered a true patriot for his country, albeit a slightly misguided one, Sean Strickland has spoken out against a US Olympian following his recent comments.
The UFC has many controversial fighters on the roster, each with their own views on sensitive topics, but Strickland is arguably at the top of the list. The 34-year-old often finds himself tied into some sort of online feud, and that continued after US Olympic freestyle skier Hunter Hess’ recent comments.

During his appearance at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Hess spoke out against the country, revealing which side of the fence he sits on regarding the ICE deportations.
“It brings up mixed emotions to represent the US right now, I think,” Hess said. “It’s a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of, and I think a lot of people aren’t.”
“I just think, if it aligns with my moral values, I feel like I’m representing it. Just because I’m wearing the flag doesn’t mean I represent everything that’s going on in the US.”

Hess’ comments didn’t sit right with Sean Strickland, who shared a strongly-worded reply toward his countryman.
“Hunter Hess is a bi***,” Strickland said in a rant on social media following the Olympian’s comments. “Get the f*** out of this country, we don’t want you here.”
Strickland has never been one to mince his words. If the former UFC middleweight champion has a problem with you, whether in person or online, he has shown on multiple occasions that he will jump at the first chance to tell you.
While his methods or wording are sometimes unorthodox, he remains passionate about his beliefs and will defend them until the end. So, when a fellow American decided to disrespect his country the way he did, there was no way Strickland could hold his tongue.

“Bout to throw some f***ing hands,” Strickland continued. “Gay ass skier. F***ing bi***.”
