Ryan Garcia returns to the ring on Saturday with an immediate opportunity to get his career back on track: a title shot against WBC welterweight world champion Mario Barrios.
Garcia (27-1, 19 KOs), is coming off of a decision loss in his last fight against Rolando Romero last May, his first since returning from a yearlong suspension after testing positive for banned substance ostarine following his decision win over Devin Haney. That result was ruled a no contest.

This will be Barrios’ (29-2-2, 18 KOs) fourth title defense since winning the belt from Yordenis Ugas in 2023, though his last two fights have been draws against Manny Pacquiao last July and Abel Ramos in 2024.
“On fight night, I’m going in there to test his heart,” Barrios told independent outlet Xicana Boxing about Garcia. “I’m going to test how bad he really wants to be in there.”
