Class of 2026 defensive back George French ll has officially committed to Alabama, per an announcement on X.
French is a talented playmaker that opted to commit to Alabama over additional offers such as UT Martin and Army. At 6’1”, 185 pounds, French is an athletic corner who will add to the depth in the Tide’s secondary next season, as the talented player officially finds himself as the newest member of an elite Crimson Tide defensive back room.

French drew interest from multiple programs around college football prior to committing to the Tide. An attendee of in-state Homewood High School, the Alabama native has speed and athleticism, and could emerge as an excellent depth piece during the 2026 campaign.
Alabama has added a multitude of playmakers from both the 2026 and 2027 class, as French will now turn his full attention towards his first season in Tuscaloosa.
