Sean Strickland thinks he’s leapfrogged Nassourdine Imavov after UFC Fight Night 267.
Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) snapped Anthony Hernandez‘s eight-fight winning streak by finishing him in Saturday’s main event at Toyota Center in Houston by Round 3 TKO.

The former middleweight champion called for a title shot against Khamzat Chimaev, but standing in his way could be Imavov (17-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC), who challenged him to a rematch. Strickland beat Imavov on short notice in their January 2023 light heavyweight main event.
“My dream. Bring me tha clown for the crown.”
Strickland has no interest in running things back with Imavov – as things stand.
“Listen dude, I’ve moved past you,” Strickland responded to Imavov in an interview with Full Send MMA. “I’ve beat you, relax. Either you get the belt or I get the belt. Once you get the belt, I’ll take it from you. Once I get the belt, you’ll lose to me.”

Imavov responded to a comment saying Strickland already beat him.
“Waste of time. He’d get tapped fast. I’m next for the belt.”
