Michael Bisping thinks Anthony Hernandez should consider changing weight classes.
Hernandez (15-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) was TKO’d by former middleweight champion Sean Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 267 main event at Toyota Center in Houston.

Hernandez was finished with a big knee to the body and swarm of punches in Round 3, the exact same way he lost to Kevin Holland prior to his eight-fight winning streak. Bisping moved down to 185 pounds after suffering his first-career loss to Rashad Evans, and eventually went onto realize a UFC title.
“‘Fluffy’ could probably make welterweight – that’s my honest opinion,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel. “He could probably make welterweight because he’s not the most hard-bodied, maybe a little soft-bodied, and I think maybe that’s hence the nickname ‘Fluffy.’
“He needs to maybe work on that because he could be a champion, certainly in the welterweight division, certainly at middleweight, because the man was on a ridiculous eight-fight winning streak. But you’ve got to make the sacrifices.”
Bisping clarified that it’s merely a thought, and that Hernandez doesn’t need to jump to conclusions after suffering his first loss in almost six years.

“You need a tough midsection to absorb shots to the body,” Bisping said. “That’s just a little bit of a thought. I don’t think it’s necessarily the blueprint to beating ‘Fluffy,’ but it is maybe something he could work on in the future. I’m not saying he needs to drop down to welterweight because that would be insulting. The man was on an eight-fight win streak (at middleweight).”
