STARKVILLE — Mississippi State women’s basketball is on the NCAA Tournament bubble with two regular season games remaining.
The Bulldogs (18-10, 5-9 SEC) have lost their last two games against Florida and Texas. The 92-42 loss at Texas is the largest MSU loss under fourth-year coach Sam Purcell.

MSU plays at Texas A&M on Feb. 26 (7 p.m., SEC Network+) and hosts No. 7 LSU on March 1 (3 p.m., SEC Network).

ESPN’s Charlie Creme projects Mississippi State as a No. 12 seed and one of the last four teams in the NCAA Tournament. That means it’d have to play a play-in game before the first round.
The projection has Mississippi State playing Colorado, with the winner facing No. 5 North Carolina. No. 4 Michigan State would be the host.
