One of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class has announced his top list of schools.
According to On3/Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, four-star quarterback Davin Davidson is down to his top eight schools. Those schools are Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Auburn, Notre Dame, Miami, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech.

Davidson is ranked as the No. 11 quarterback in the Rivals300 rankings.
To take it a step further, Davidson is listed as a four-star prospect and the No. 23 recruit in Florida, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 18 quarterback in the nation and the No. 193 overall recruit.
Davidson was electric for Cardinal Mooney High School in 2025, going 14-1 as a starter. He led his team to a Florida 2A Championship and finished the season with 2,360 yards through the air, 23 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

There are some really good schools in his top eight. Miami is coming off a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, while Georgia won the SEC title.
Despite not making the CFP this past season, Notre Dame is a strong contender to make it in 2026. The program got to the National Championship Game during the 2024 college football season.
Florida being on the list also makes sense, since it’s another top school in the state. Jon Sumrall is the new head coach of the program, having served as the head coach at Tulane for the previous two seasons.
