2027 Chicago defensive lineman names Tennessee football in top schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks named Tennessee in his top eight schools, along with Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon, Michigan, Georgia and Illinois, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3. He will visit Tennessee on March 30, according to Allen Trieu of 247Sports.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound prospect is from Brother Rice High School in Chicago, Illinois. 247Sports ranks Parks as the No. 12 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 7 player in Illinois.

Tennessee offered him a scholarship on June 3, 2025 and he will visit the Vols for the first time.

Bowling Green was the first school to offer Parks a scholarship on Jan. 23, 2024. Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Purdue, Kansas State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, USC, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Rutgers, North Carolina, Indiana, Arizona State, Kansas, Iowa State, Arkansas, Texas, LSU, Washington, Ole Miss, Auburn, Syracuse, Penn State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville and Florida.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
