The rivalry between Duke women’s basketball and UConn will be reinstated in 2026.

The two programs are set to meet at Boston’s TD Garden on Nov. 26, 2026, as stated in a university release on Friday morning. They will also compete in a home-and-home series in 2027-28 and 2028-29, with the Huskies visiting Durham in 2027-28 and Duke heading up to Connecticut during the 2028-29 season.

“We are thrilled to bring a marquee women’s college basketball matchup between the UConn Huskies and Duke Blue Devils to TD Garden,” said Glen Thornborough, president of TD Garden and EVP/COO of the Boston Bruins. “Boston is a city that lives and breathes championship basketball, and hosting these two powerhouse programs gives fans the chance to experience the very best of the women’s game on one of basketball’s most iconic stages.”

It will be the first regular-season meeting between the two programs since 2022. The last time the two programs faced off was in the Sweet 16 of the 2026 NCAA Tournament, with UConn winning 53-45.

The two are some of the winningest programs in women’s basketball, sharing 2,397 wins between them: UConn (1,322) and Duke (1,075).

The Blue Devils claimed the ACC regular season title on Feb. 26 for the first time in 13 years. They clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ACC women’s basketball tournament (March 4-8) and are set to close out their regular season slate on the road at UNC on Sunday March 1 (Noon ET, ESPN).
