Your College Basketball Saturday Viewing Guide: February 28, 2026

by

This is your last Viewing Guide before we get to March, y’all. Gird your appropriate body parts as needed.

There are 49 nationally televised college basketball games on today, and we’re getting 97% of the way there with men’s games, as only three of the contests are women’s games. The women’s games highlight is a big one, with #14 Maryland visiting #9 Michigan, and that gets a Fox broadcast in the middle of the day.

On the men’s side, there are 14 games with at least one ranked team involved. Five of those 14 have two ranked teams squaring off, so it’s a pretty big day of hoops what with 19 of the AP top 25 in action on national TV one way or another. #11 Virginia heading to challenge #1 Duke gets us started right off the bat. The women’s game in the Big Ten helps bridge the gap until we get to 3pm, when there’s a pair of ranked on ranked games in the Big 12. I’ll let you decide if #14 Kansas at #2 Arizona is a bigger deal than #16 Texas Tech at #4 Iowa State, but I will say that you’ve got four of the five teams in the top five spots in the Big 12 standings right there. Right as that pair wraps up, you get #17 Alabama at #22 Tennessee, and that one carries you along to #20 Arkansas at #7 Florida to wrap up the ranked on ranked contests.

There’s also #9 Gonzaga, #12 Nebraska, #19 BYU, #24 Louisville, and #25 Vanderbilt all on the road against unranked teams at one point or another today, and those last three will all have a big impact on exactly what the AP poll looks like on Monday, one way or another.

As usual, there’s a ton of games that are streaming only. #23 Saint Louis is in action at home on ESPN+ tonight on the men’s side, and you can watch #25 Princeton on the road on ESPN+ just a couple hours earlier on the women’s side to lead the way in those two departments. If you catch a streaming only game that’s a barnburner, be sure to shout it out in the comments so everyone can tune in!
