Jiri Prochazka Opens As Small Betting Favorite Over Carlos Ulberg For UFC 327

Jiri Prochazka has opened up as an early betting favorite for his upcoming light heavyweight title fight opposite streaking contender Carlos Ulberg at UFC 327 on April 11 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

On Friday, both Prochazka and Ulberg learned that their next fight would be for UFC’s vacant 205-pound title. UFC CEO Dana White announced that Alex Pereira was relinquishing his championship throne and that Prochazka and “Black Jag” would step in on six weeks notice to crown a new divisional king. It sucks to see “Poatan” leave the division behind, but getting to see “BJP” and Ulberg duke it out for UFC gold is going to be pretty exciting.

As of now, oddsmakers have pegged Prochazka as an early betting favorite to take care of business in Miami and walk away with another UFC title belt. That’s according to our friends over at Bet Online, which currently lists Prochazka at -120. Ulberg, who was actually a slight betting favorite when initial odds released Saturday morning, is currently being listed at +100.

UFC 327 will feature much more beyond the light heavyweight main event. In the co-headliner, UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van will defend his title for the first time against dangerous challenger Tatsuro Taira. The card will also feature notable names like Beneil Dariush, Dominick Reyes, Curtis Blaydes, Paulo Costa, Aaron Pico, Kevin Holland, Mateusz Gamrot, Patricio Pitbull, Kelvin Gastelum, Randy Brown, Vicente Luque, and a few more.
