Performing in pro wrestling and competing in MMA wasn’t enough of a combat sports fix for Jake Hager. Slap fighting is up next.
Hager, a former WWE and AEW star in pro wrestling, as well as former Bellator fighter, announced during a Monday interview with TMZ that he has signed a six-appearance deal with Dana White’s Power Slap. Hager is slated to make his promotional debut April 17th in Las Vegas.

Hager, 43, became a star in WWE under the name “Jack Swagger,” debuting in September 2008 and going on to become WWE champion. He later signed with rival pro wrestling promotion AEW and departed in June 2024.
In the middle of his run as a pro wrestler, Hager also dabbled in MMA as he made four Bellator appearances between January 2019 and October 2020. Hager went 3-0 in Bellator, with one no contest caused by repeated groin strikes from Hager to his opponent at Bellator 231. Of his three victories, two came by arm-triangle choke submissions.
Hager apparently didn’t leave Bellator on good terms.
