With a win over Mississippi State on Sunday, LSU women’s basketball finished out its 2025-26 regular season schedule. It finished in the top five in the SEC and now looks ahead to the conference tournament.
LSU finished fourth in the conference standings with a 12-4 record and a 75% winning percentage. It trailed a top three of South Carolina, Texas and Vanderbilt. Oklahoma rounds out the top five.

The Tigers opened SEC play with two ranked losses to Kentucky and Vanderbilt. After that, they fell to only the Gamecocks and Longhorns, but not before beating head coach Vic Schaefer’s team in Baton Rouge. That victory is a huge reason LSU finished where it did in the SEC.
It is the fifth-straight season LSU finished in the top four. Head coach Kim Mulkey put her team among the best in the conference from the first season she took the reins. Her team has a double bye and faces one of Oklahoma, Mississippi State or Florida.
