Brittney Griner may be way past her athletic peak as the 34-year-old big man finished the 2025 WNBA season with only 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.5 blocks for the Atlanta Dream this saeson.
However, hoops fans who followed her throughout her basketball journey knows how great of a bucket she is. The nine-time WNBA All-Star 21.9 points per game on 57.7% shooting, meaning opponents struggled to contain her whenever she was on the paint.

She was just as much of an unstoppable monster when she was still playing college hoops. Garner was scoring at least 18 points a game during her four years in the NCAA. No one thought any of the records she set in college could be changed anytime soon.

However, fans were treated to a shock when one of the most exciting prospects in college hoops joined her in an exclusive club.

Like Griner, Audi Crooks is another dominant big who is stunning the NCAA with her brand of basketball that’s centered around physicality and bully-ball tactics.

The Overtime Women’s Basketball page posted a recent post of the Iowa State Cyclones center tying Garner’s Big 12 record of five 40-point games when she was still playing for the Baylor Bears.
Crooks is putting up outstanding numbers for Iowa State this season, averaging 25.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists through 29 starts. Meanwhile, Griner averaged 22.2 points, 8.8 points, 1.6 assists and 5.1 blocks through her four years of eligibility.
