After an 88-64 road win over Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon, the Missouri Tigers all but clinched an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, improving to 20-9 overall (10-6 SEC) on the season. Heading into the final week of the regular season, Missouri is now playing for seeding – for the SEC and NCAA Tournament. The Tigers are in the mix for a double bye in Nashville but will need to take care of business against Oklahoma and Arkansas as they control their own destiny.
As for their NCAA Tournament seed? That’s obviously still up for grabs with still a lot to play for. For now, Mizzou is completely off the precarious bubble but a losing streak to end the season could change some things.
Per Bracket Matrix, Mizzou is currently on the 9-seed line. With two Quad 1 games remaining in the regular season plus their SEC Tournament opener — there will certainly be opportunities for Mizzou to improve their seeding.
