Indian men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty on Wednesday lost their round of 32 match against Malaysia’s Aaron Tai and Khai Xing Kang at the All England Open 2026 in Birmingham.
The World No. 4 pair went down 23-21, 21-12 in 42 minutes and crashed out of the competition.
The Indians trailed through a major part of the opening game until saving two game points and levelling the score at 20-20. But the Malaysian pair took the decisive points to snatch the opener.
The second game was a one-sided affair with Rankireddy and Shetty trailing by seven points at one stage.
